Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
404 AM EDT Wed Oct 11 2017

Clouds will increase through the morning as a weakening area of
low pressure approaches the region from the west. This will bring
a chance of showers to the region beginning Wednesday afternoon
and continuing into Wednesday night. The best chance for showers
will be north and west of New York City. In addition to the
showers, gusty easterly winds will develop this evening,
especially across coastal regions.

Dry weather will return on Thursday as high pressure builds south
from Canada, although breezy conditions will continue throughout
the day.

Temperatures will range from the upper 60s to lower 70s today,
about 5 degrees above normal for mid October. More seasonable
temperatures return for Thursday, with highs in the mid 60s.
