A MORE HUMID AIR MASS WAS IN PLACE AS SOUTHERLY WIND AHEAD OF AN
APPROACHING COLD FRONT WAS TRANSPORTING MOISTURE INTO THE REGION. AS
THE FRONT APPROACHES TODAY THE CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE INCREASING FROM WEST TO EAST. WITH THE HUMID
AIRMASS IN PLACE SOME OF THE SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL. HIGHS TODAY WILL RANGE IN THE UPPER
70S TO LOWER 80S.

THE COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH THE AREA THIS EVENING INTO LATE TONIGHT
WITH THE SHOWERS COMING TO AN END. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN BEHIND
THE FRONT AND BRINGS IN A DRIER A SOMEWHAT COOLER AIR MASS. THE HIGH
REMAINS FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT. LOWS TONIGHT WILL RANGE FROM THE
50S MID ACROSS THE LOWER HUDSON VALLEY TO THE UPPER 50S TO MID 60S
ELSEWHERE. FRIDAYS HIGHS WILL BE GENERALLY IN THE MID 70S.
