Weather Summary for the local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY

Clouds will linger today as onshore flow continues. Despite the
clouds, temperatures will continue to average well above normal
with widespread 60s, and cooler 50s for eastern coastal locations.
A cold front will approach from the west during the afternoon and
will bring showers to the region. A brief period of heavy
rainfall will occur in any thunderstorms, especially across
western sections late in the day.

After the cold front moves through this evening, drier and colder
air will move in on a westerly flow overnight. This will bring
dry, blustery, and noticeably colder weather to the region for
Sunday.
