Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
325 PM EST Thu Jan 18 2018

High pressure centered to our southwest will continue to build
into the region tonight. Skies will be mostly clear for much of
the area, with partly cloudy skies for areas well inland.
Temperatures will be seasonably cold, ranging from the teens in
the outlying areas, to the middle 20s in the New York City metro
area.

Dry conditions will continue into the weekend as high pressure
pushes off the Southeast Coast Friday night into Saturday morning.
This will also allow the area to undergo a warming trend under a
southwesterly flow. Temperatures will average near normal for
highs on Friday, with temperatures climbing to near 50 for much of
the area on Saturday. Slightly cooler, but still above normal
readings are expected for Sunday.
