.DISCUSSION...
The warm and breezy conditions will continue through the afternoon
and into the early evening. In general, the winds will be south at
15 mph gusting to 25 mph, although gusts could be a little stronger
at the top of Flat Top Mountain, and wind direction will be
affected by the topography of the mountain itself, especially on the
north face of the mountain. The effect on wind direction will be
especially prevalent in the small channels in the north face and
the on the sheltered plains at the base of the mountain on the
north side.

Winds will not decrease significantly until perhaps 9 or 10 pm when
wind speeds under 10 mph may finally prevail.

No precipitation is expected at the fire ground, although there are
low chances of thunderstorms to the north between midnight and sunrise.
Although storm chances are relatively low, if any storms do happen to
develop to the north, be alert for the potential of a wind shift with
outflow winds from the thunderstorms in the morning hours.
