...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect until 4 PM MST this afternoon.

* LOCATION...Eastern El Paso county east of I-25 and Eastern Las
  Animas county. The strongest gusts will occur to the east of
  Colorado Springs.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...Strong north winds will spread across the
  plains through late morning which will continue through late
  afternoon. Damaging wind gusts will be possible across portions
  of the Palmer Divide and Raton Ridges.

* WIND...North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts to around 60 mph.

* IMPACT...Strong cross winds will occur on east west oriented
  roadways such as highways 94, 24, and 160. These will pose
  hazards to high profile vehicles. Local blowing dust could
  reduce visibilities to around a mile at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
