SURVEY SUMMARY:
A SEVERE SQUALL LINE WITH AN EMBEDDED SUPERCELL THUNDERSTORM MOVED
INTO DE SOTO PARISH AROUND 800 AM. THIS SUPERCELL PRODUCED AN EF1
TORNADO AROUND 900 AM MONDAY MORNING. THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN
AFTER THE STORM CROSSED HIGHWAY 171 4.5 MILES SOUTH OF MANSFIELD
MOVING EAST...THEN LIFTING AT THE INTERSECTION OF LA 513 AND
OXFORD CUTOFF ROAD. DAMAGE MAINLY CONSISTED OF UPROOTED AND
SNAPPED TREES.

EF SCALE: THE ENHANCED FUJITA SCALE CLASSIFIES TORNADOES INTO THE
FOLLOWING CATEGORIES.

EF0...WEAK......65 TO 85 MPH
EF1...WEAK......86 TO 110 MPH
