* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTH JEFFERSON PARISH IN SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA...

* UNTIL 930 AM CDT

* AT 830 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE EAST BANK OF JEFFERSON PARISH
  FROM THE LAKEFRONT TO JUST SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 10. THIS WILL CAUSE
  URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA. UP TO TWO
  INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  METAIRIE...JEFFERSON...HARAHAN...ELMWOOD...RIVER RIDGE...
  BRIDGE CITY...WAGGAMAN...AMA AND NEW ORLEANS ARMSTRONG AIRPORT.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF ONE TO TWO INCHES IS EXPECTED OVER THE AREA.
THIS ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL MAKE MINOR FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND
UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
