* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR POOR DRAINAGE AREAS
  FOR...
  NORTHEASTERN OKALOOSA COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN FLORIDA...

* UNTIL 800 PM CDT

* AT 559 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING.
  OVERFLOWING POOR DRAINAGE AREAS WILL RESULT IN MINOR FLOODING IN
  THE ADVISORY AREA. DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR ESTIMATED STORM TOTAL
  PRECIPITATION INDICATES ONE TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN IN
  THE ADVISORY AREA.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  CRESTVIEW AND BAKER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
