This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Mostly quiet weather will prevail today as a transient ridge of
high pressure moves over the area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

A very progressive upper level pattern will begin to affect the
area late Thursday evening as a deep upper level trough digs from
the northwest. Cold midlevel temperatures and ample moisture will
support snow, primarily above 6,000 feet. Periods of heavy snow
may make travel difficult at pass level. Terrain enhanced snow
showers will linger through Sunday evening. A quick break gives
way to another strong storm beginning Monday night. Significant
snowfall in mountain zones is expected once again. Snow will
linger through Tuesday afternoon as the storm departs to the east.


Spotters are encouraged to report snowfall and rainfall amounts to
the National Weather Service in grand Junction.
