...Windy Across Southern New Mexico and West Texas Today...

.A deep upper level disturbance move across New Mexico and west
Texas today while a surface low strengthens to the east. This
weather pattern will generate strong winds through this
afternoon. Winds will gust around 50 mph over much of the region
with gusts possibly exceeding 60 mph over a few areas along
eastern facing slopes.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO 5 PM MST
THIS AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has
issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 6 AM this morning
to 5 PM MST this afternoon.

* TIMING...Strong winds will continue through this afternoon
  before diminishing by early this evening.

* WINDS...West to southwest winds will have sustained speeds near
  30 mph with gusts to 50 mph. However gusts may exceed 60 mph
  over very isolated locations along eastern slopes.

* IMPACTS...Difficult driving conditions will exist especially
  for high profile vehicles. Blowing dust may reduce
  visibilities over very isolated locations. Loose objects may
  also be blown around.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution and know your vehicle limits.
