...Pittsburgh has warmest fall in 70 years...

Pittsburgh averaged 57.5 degrees from September through November
of this year. This was the warmest fall since 57.6 degrees in
1946. This was also the 7th warmest fall since records began in
1881. The warmest fall was 60.7 degrees in 1881. The fall of 2015
was 57.4 degrees which, at the time, made it the warmest fall in

The fall of 2016 was also the warmest since official observations
were moved to Pittsburgh International Airport in 1952. Before
that, observations were taken for a while at the Allegheny County
Airport in West Mifflin after several decades of observations
taken downtown.
