Skies were partly to mostly cloudy through the day and into the
early afternoon. Light north to northeast winds were observed with
early afternoon temperatures that ranged from the middle 30s
across far southeast Wyoming to the middle 70s over southeast
Kansas.

OUTLOOK...
A variety of Winter Storm Warnings have been posted from the
central Rockies across the Central High Plains for a winter storm
system that will be moving east of the Rockies and across the
Plains States between tonight and Monday.

The local forecast area will see patchy freezing fog tonight with
area of light freezing drizzle and light snow spreading across the
region through Sunday morning. Winds will increase through the day
on Sunday with moderate to heavy snow producing areas of blowing
and drifting snow. Snowfall will taper off Sunday night into
Monday morning with gusty winds expected to continue to produce
areas of blowing and drifting snow. Total snow accumulations could
range from around three inches between Tribune and Gove Kansas, to
between eight and nine inches further north from Yuma county
Colorado eastward along the Kansas and Nebraska border to McCook
in Red Willow county. High temperatures Sunday and Monday will be
mainly in the 30s with overnight lows mainly in the teens.

Tuesday through Thursday will see dry conditions with gradually
warming temperatures. High temperatures could reach into the 40s
and 50s by Thursday with overnight lows in the 20s and lower 30s.
Another fast moving storm system is expected to move through the
area between Friday and Saturday with a light accumulation of rain
and snow and cooler temperatures. Highs on Saturday will be in the
30s with lows in the teens to lower 20s.
