Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region

Low pressure from the lower Great Lakes will approach the region
late tonight. Clouds will increase with some light snow and a
light wintry mix across northwestern sections, and areas of light
rain for the city and coast late in the overnight. Temperatures
will begin to rise towards daybreak through the 30s, and into the
lower 40s along the coast.

Light rain will fall during Tuesday morning with temperatures
momentarily rising above normal. Any light rain will then taper
off for the afternoon as a cold front swings through the region.
Behind the front drier and much colder air will move into the
region for Tuesday night. Temperatures will drop well below
average with wind chills by Wednesday morning in the single digits
and teens as the coldest air of the season arrives for the mid
