DEVELOPING AREA OF LOW PRESSURE PASSES SOUTH AND EAST OF THE AREA.
THE SNOW WILL COME DOWN MODERATE TO BRIEFLY HEAVY AT
TIMES...MAINLY AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE SNOW COULD LIMIT VISIBILITIES
TO A HALF MILE OR LESS AT TIMES. LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE LOWER
20S IN THE OUTLYING AREAS...TO NEAR FREEZING IN PARTS OF THE NYC
METRO AREA.

THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF DURING THE WEDNESDAY MORNING
COMMUTE...WITH THE BEST CHANCES FOR SNOW OVER EASTERN AREAS.
CHANCES FOR SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO DECREASE THROUGHOUT THE
DAY...WITH RAIN POSSIBLY MIXING IN OVER SOUTHERN AND EASTERN
SECTIONS AS TEMPERATURES WARM TO THE UPPER 30S TO LOWER 40S
ACROSS
THE AREA. GENERALLY...2 TO 4 INCHES ARE FORECAST ACROSS MUCH OF
LONG ISLAND...SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT...SOUTHERN LOWER HUDSON VALLEY
AND PORTIONS OF NYC. LESSER AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED ELSEWHERE.

MAINLY DRY AND COLD CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR THURSDAY...WITH A
PASSING SNOW SHOWER POSSIBLE.
