Poplar Bluff. Morning showers and sprinkles produced less than a
tenth of an inch of rain across portions of southern Illinois,
southern Indiana, and western Kentucky. Overnight clouds slowly
cleared from the north, leading to a sunny day with only a few
scattered clouds across the Heartland. Gusty winds this morning have
decreased to 5 to 10 miles per hour for the afternoon. Temperatures
around 2 PM were in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

High pressure at the surface and an upper level ridge will make for
a sunny and dry week and upcoming weekend. High temperatures will be
in the 60s during the work week, warming into the 70s for the
weekend. Low temperatures will generally be in the 40s.
