...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 629 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lookout Peak, or 7 miles east of Lake Alpine, moving northwest at 10
mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Bear Valley, Lake Alpine, Dardanelle, Lookout Peak and Hermit Valley
Basin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
