Weather Summary for Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa

During the evening it continued to be hot and humid across eastern
Nebraska and southwest Iowa, along with some thunderstorm activity
in the western part of northeast Nebraska.

Heat advisories and excessive heat warnings will continue on Saturday
for much of Kansas and Missouri, as well as southeast Nebraska, and
the western, central and southern parts of Iowa.  A cold front will
drop southward through Kansas and Missouri this weekend, with relief
from the heat and humidity spreading across eastern Nebraska and
southwest Iowa.  For this weekend most locations will be dry, with
only scattered thunderstorms across the Midwest.

Low temperatures tonight, mid 50s western North Dakota to the upper
70s southeast Kansas.  Highs on Saturday, mid 70s to upper 80s for
North Dakota and 80s for Minnesota, to 100 to 105 for central and
eastern Kansas.  For eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa, lows in
the lower and mid 70s, and highs in the lower and mid 90s.
