Weather Summary for Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa

Cold surface high pressure will continue to move east of the region
tonight.  A major winter storm system will impact the region this
weekend into Monday, bringing snow, sleet and freezing rain. An ice
storm warning is in effect for much of Kansas and Missouri, and a
small part of south central Nebraska into Monday. Winter storm
watches are in effect for the region of central and eastern
Nebraska, and Iowa into parts of western Illinois, due to the
potential of significant icing.

Low temperatures tonight, single digits below zero across North
Dakota into northern South Dakota and for most of Minnesota, to the
lower to mid 30s far southern Missouri.  Highs on Saturday, teens
across much of North Dakota and the northern half of Minnesota, to
the mid to upper 30s far southern Missouri.  For eastern Nebraska
and southwest Iowa, lows mainly mid teens, and highs lower 30s.
