High pressure will continue to build south into the Central Plains
this afternoon and tonight, with gusty northwest winds also forecast
for much of the region. Wind chill values will range from 15 to 35
degrees below zero from northern parts of Kansas and Missouri
northward into the Dakotas and Minnesota through Tuesday morning.
Some light snow is also expected along the leading edge of the cold
air from southern Kansas into southern Missouri this afternoon.

Near steady or slowly falling temperatures will be found across the
region this afternoon.  Lows tonight will range from around 20 below
zero in South Dakota, to around zero in southern and western Kansas
into southern Missouri.
