A COLD FRONT IS MAKING ITS WAY INTO NORTHEASTERN TO CENTRAL NEBRASKA
THIS AFTERNOON...BRINGING A COOLER AND DRIER AIRMASS AND NORTHWEST
WINDS OF AROUND 10 TO 15 MPH.  AHEAD OF THE FRONT...TEMPERATURES
HAVE ONCE AGAIN SURGED INTO THE UPPER 80S TO LOWER 90S...WITH HIGHER
HUMIDITY BRINGING HEAT INDEX READINGS TO NEAR 100 DEGREES AGAIN.  A
FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE ONGOING THIS AFTERNOON NEAR THE
COLD FRONT...AND ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED
TO DEVELOP LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING ALONG AND AHEAD OF
THE COLD FRONT IN EASTERN NEBRASKA AND WESTERN IOWA.  THESE STORMS
WILL HAVE A RISK OF BECOMING STRONG TO SEVERE DURING THE LATE
AFTERNOON TO EVENING HOURS.  THE FRONT WILL CONTINUE TO SLOWLY SAG
SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE NIGHT...AND SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL
EXIT THE AREA THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.  WEDNESDAY WILL BE COOLER
AND DRIER ACROSS THE AREA...WITH LIGHT WINDS BECOMING WESTERLY.

TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL FALL INTO THE UPPER 50S TO LOWER 60S
BEHIND THE FRONT...WITH LOWS IN THE LOWER TO MID 60S IN SOUTHEAST
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA A BIT CLOSER TO THE FRONT.  ON
WEDNESDAY...HIGHS WILL REACH THE MID 80S.
