National Weather Service Omaha/Valley NE
930 PM CST Tue Feb 14 2017
An area of high pressure is forecast to settle into Mid America
overnight, but then quickly move off to the east on Wednesday. The
high pressure will bring relatively chilly temperatures overnight,
but southerly winds on the back side of the high should help warm
things up again by Wednesday afternoon.
Low temperatures overnight are forecast to fall back into the 20s
across most of the region. Then on Wednesday, mostly sunny skies and
south winds should boost afternoon highs into 60s across the High
Plains from western South Dakota into western Kansas, while 50s
should rule eastern sections of South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas.
Highs will likely hold in the 40s in Iowa and Missouri where light
north winds are forecast much of the day.
