Quiet weather can be expected across the mid Missouri Valley region
for most of today. It will still be cold with highs mostly in the
20s.

The next round of winter weather develops across the southern Plains
this afternoon, spreading snow northward into Kansas by late
afternoon, then across the remainder of the area through the night.
The snow may switch over to freezing rain or sleet across much of
Kansas and Missouri by midnight, with the wintry mix moving into
southern Nebraska and southern Iowa by daybreak Thursday. Low
temperatures tonight drops into the teens to lower 20s.

A wintry weather mix will continue across the region on Thursday.
