...FLOODING LIKELY FRIDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL STORM BILL WILL BRING A SWATH OF HEAVY
RAIN ACROSS OUR REGION FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY. THE EXACT PATH AND
TIMING OF THE REMNANTS AND ASSOCIATED HEAVY RAIN IS STILL
UNCERTAIN...BUT FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL IS LIKELY...WITH
THE GREATEST AMOUNTS ACROSS SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND SOUTHERN
ILLINOIS.

IN THE MEANTIME...THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON AND AGAIN THURSDAY
AFTERNOON MAINLY OVER SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND THE EVANSVILLE TRI
STATE AREA ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE MORE ISOLATED HEAVY RAINS...AND
KEEP THE GROUND QUITE MOIST IF NOT COMPLETELY SATURATED.

GIVEN THE WET INITIAL CONDITIONS...THE MORE WIDESPREAD HEAVY RAINS
ASSOCIATED WITH BILL MAY RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING...ESPECIALLY
OVER SOUTHERN ILLINOIS AND SOUTHWEST INDIANA FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY.
IN ADDITION...THE HEAVY RAINS MAY ALSO RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT
FLOODING ON MANY RIVERS IN OUR REGION. PLEASE REFER TO THE LATEST
FLOOD WARNINGS AND STATEMENTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE
RIVER FLOODING.
