WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
445 AM CST SUN FEB 21 2015

BY YESTERDAY AFTERNOON...A SIGNIFICANT WINTER WEATHER EVENT WAS IN
THE FREEZING RAIN/RAIN STAGE...WHICH ENDED RAPIDLY FROM NORTHWEST TO
SOUTHEAST. SOME LOCATIONS RECEIVED A BRIEF PERIOD OF SNOW OR SLEET
AS THE SYSTEM DEPARTED BY SUNSET. IN THE EVENING...TEMPERATURES
SLOWLY DRIFTED BACK BELOW FREEZING...NOT HELPING THE VERY SLICK AND
DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION. AFTER MIDNIGHT...JUST
AHEAD OF AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT...VISIBILITIES WERE REDUCED TO LESS
THAN A MILE DUE TO FREEZING FOG AT SOME LOCATIONS SUCH AS CARBONDALE
AND CAPE GIRARDEAU.

AS ANOTHER ARCTIC AIRMASS ARRIVES TODAY AND TONIGHT...CLOUDS WILL BE
PLENTIFUL. THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE REGION MAY EXPERIENCE SOME SNOW
FLURRIES LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THROUGH MONDAY...HIGHS
OVER MOST OF THE REGION WILL NOT EXCEED FREEZING. TUESDAY WILL BE
ONLY SLIGHTLY WARMER. LOOK OUT FOR LOWS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS OVER
MOST OF THE REGION...WITH LOWER WIND CHILL READINGS.
