...A WINTER STORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM WEDNESDAY UNTIL 6 AM
THURSDAY FOR THE ENTIRE QUAD STATE REGION....

SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY FOR MUCH OF THE DAY AS HIGH THIN CLOUDS
MOVED OVER THE QUAD STATE REGION. TEMPERATURES AT 245 PM RANGED FROM
THE MIDDLE 30S IN THE NORTH TO THE LOWER 40S IN THE SOUTH.

THE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE OFF TO THE EAST
OVERNIGHT...GIVING WAY TO A SOUTHERLY FLOW OF AIR. WINDS WILL
INCREASE ON TUESDAY AND BECOME MORE GUSTY AS AN APPROACHING STORM
SYSTEM INCHES CLOSER. A WARM FRONT WILL PUSH NORTH OVER THE
HEARTLAND ON TUESDAY...GIVING US A HIGH PROBABILITY OF RAIN ON
TUESDAY AS THE TEMPERATURES RISE. WE SHOULD SEE THE WARMEST DAY WE
HAVE SEEN IN 3 WEEKS WITH HIGHS IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 50S EXPECTED.

ON TUESDAY NIGHT... THE ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH ALLOWING
TEMPERATURES TO FALL BACK TO THE 30 TO 35 DEGREE RANGE ON WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON. SNOWFALL WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREAT WITH 6-8 INCHES
ANTICIPATED ON AVERAGE WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS IN THE PENNYRILE
REGION. ANY LINGERING LIGHT SNOW SHOULD END ACROSS THE PENNYRILE
EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. HIGH PRESSURE WILL TAKE CONTROL ON LATE ON
THURSDAY...GIVING US DRY WEATHER AND A SLOW WARM UP GOING INTO THE
WEEKEND.
