Regional Weather Summary

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
330 AM CST SUN Jan 25 2015
Infra red satellite loop indicated clouds were already moving into
the heartland. The regional radar loop indicated very patchy light
rain was also moving into the area from Missouri and Illinois.
Surface observations reported temperatures were in the 40s across
the region...so any precipitation today will fall as rain. The rain
may mix with or change over to snow tonight before ending. No
significant accumulations are expected.
There are several more of these clipper type systems poised to move
through the heartland this upcoming week. The next one will move
through mainly to our east on Tuesday...possibly giving a glancing
blow of light rain or snow to areas east of US highway 41 in Indiana
and Kentucky. But again this system will be weak with very little
precipitation. Another weak clipper will move through Thursday with
best chances for rain east of the Mississippi River. Finally another
will move through this weekend most likely Saturday night but there
are still some uncertainty about the timing with the last system.
