NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
300 PM CST SAT FEB 6 2016
After high clouds passed through early Saturday, skies were clear
for the remainder of the day. Southwest winds and sunny skies
allowed temperatures to rise quickly during the day, reaching the
mid 50s by 3 PM.
As high pressure exits the area, south winds will bring continued
warm, dry weather into Sunday. After low temperatures around
freezing tonight, Sunday`s highs will be in the low to mid 50s.
The passage of a strong cold front Sunday evening will result in
much colder weather during the first half of the week with highs
only in the 20s to mid 30s. This front and its associated upper
level disturbance will bring a chance of light snow or flurries
Monday into Tuesday, mainly along and east of the Mississippi River.
Snow totals will range from around a tenth of an inch near the
Mississippi River to 1 to 2 inches over parts of southwest Indiana.
After temperatures bottom out Tuesday and Wednesday, warmer and
drier weather will return for the end of the week.
