WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
310 PM CDT Mon Aug 18 2014

The beginning of the work week greeted us with foggy conditions
across a good portion of the area this morning with lows around 70.
The thick cloud deck gave way to partly sunny skies in most areas
this afternoon leading to afternoon temperatures in the 80s. Most
locations have remained dry today other than a few very isolated
showers.

An upper level low will slide from the upper Midwest toward the
eastern Great Lakes through Wednesday night. Disturbances rotating
around this low will keep chances of showers and thunderstorms in
the forecast through midweek. Thereafter, an upper level ridge
builds into the area resulting in dry conditions Thursday through
the weekend. Heat and humidity will be the main story line as
afternoon highs soar into the mid 90s. Combined with the high
humidity heat indices will be in the 100 to 105 range. A taste of
real heat in an otherwise cool summer.
