WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
310 PM CDT FRI JUL 24 2015

COOLER AND LESS HUMID CONDITIONS SLOWLY PUSHED INTO PORTIONS OF THE
AREA LAST NIGHT INTO THIS MORNING WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING INTO THE
MID 60S IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF THE AREA INCLUDING EVANSVILLE.
POPLAR BLUFF ONLY DROPPED DOWN TO 75 AS THE VERY WARM AND HUMID AIR
MASS REMAINED OVER SOUTHEAST MISSOURI. SCATTERED CUMULUS CLOUDS HAVE
BEEN SEEN ACROSS THE REGION TODAY WITH THE MOST PREDOMINANT COVERAGE
OVER SOUTHEAST MISSOURI WHERE HIGHER AMOUNTS OF LOW LEVEL MOISTURE
EXIST. 3PM TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE MID TO UPPER 80S AREA WIDE.

SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE OHIO VALLEY WILL MOVE EAST ALLOWING
SOUTHERLY RETURN FLOW TO DEVELOP THIS WEEKEND. A LARGE UPPER LEVEL
RIDGE OVER THE SOUTHERN STATES WILL EXPAND NORTHWARD INTO OUR REGION
HEADING INTO NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASINGLY HOT AND
HUMID AIR MASS WITH HEAT INDICES ONCE AGAIN OVER 100 IN SOUTHWEST
COUNTIES THIS WEEKEND AND THEN OVER THE ENTIRE AREA BY MONDAY. HIGH
TEMPERATURES WILL SLOWLY CREEP UP FROM THE LOWER TO MIDDLE 90S
THROUGH TUESDAY WITH NIGHT TIME LOWS STAYING UP IN THE 70S. MOST
AREAS SHOULD REMAIN DRY THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT WITH THE EXCEPTION
BEING WESTERN AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE AREA THIS WEEKEND. THESE
AREAS COULD SEE SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SEEPING DOWN FROM THE
NORTH AS THE LARGE RIDGE BEGINS TO MOVE IN.
