Regional Weather Summary
Issued by NWS Paducah, KY
AWUS83 KPAH 151019
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
419 AM CST Mon Dec 15 2014
Sunday night was generally dry and cool across the four state
region. Predawn temperatures were generally running in the 40s. A
band of showers was advancing east into portions of southeast
Missouri just before sunrise.
Low pressure taking shape in the Central Plains will move
northeastward toward the Great Lakes today. This will drag a cold
front east toward the Quad State. Showers will be possible ahead
of this front today, but overall amounts should stay on the light
side. Colder air will funnel in behind this system for mid week
through next weekend. A couple storm systems might affect the
area later this week with the first being Wednesday night into
Thursday and the second Friday into Saturday. Model consistency
is still lacking regarding the details and path of the systems, so
either rain or snow could occur in many locations.
