...Winter weather warnings are in effect for the entire quad state
region for Sunday and Sunday night...
Cloudy skies were observed overnight...with some sprinkles in a few
locations. Sunrise temperatures ranged from the upper 30s and lower
40s. During the day...skies were mostly cloudy with only a few peeks
of the sun noted. Temperatures at 3 pm ranged from the upper 40s in
the north to the upper 50s in the south.
A strong cold front will move southeast into the Ohio Valley
tonight...then continue across the Tennessee Valley on Sunday.
Widespread rain and freezing rain will develop behind the front
tonight and early Sunday morning. The rain and freezing rain will
transition to sleet and snow Sunday late afternoon and night.
The winter storm will be followed by very cold and mainly dry
conditions for Monday and Monday night. Highs will be in the 20s
Monday...with lows around 10 Monday night.
For the remainder of the week...Tuesday through Friday will be dry
with a gradual warmup. By Friday...highs will be in the 50s.
