The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  West central Franklin County in western Maine...

* Until 745 PM EDT

* At 646 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
  advisory area. Some areas have seen over an inch of rain in the
  last hour.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Phillips, Weld, Avon, Sandy River Plantation, Madrid, Rangeley
  Plantation, Mount Abram and Salem.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding may be occurring. It is important to know where you are
relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in
heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
