This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow, heavy at times, will continue over the mountains today and
tonight as a moist Pacific storm takes aim at the area. The
southern mountains are favored where 6 to 12 inches with locally
higher amounts. South winds from 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 35
mph will result in blowing snow in the higher elevations. Snow
accumulations will be more modest in the northern and central

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Monday and Tuesday...Expect light snow in the northern mountains.

Wednesday through Saturday...Unsettled weather returns with a
chance for mountain snow and valley rain. Details limited by less
than desirable model agreement.


Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the
National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
