...June was warmer and much drier than normal for Tallahassee...

The average monthly temperature for June recorded at the Tallahassee
Regional Airport was 82.1 degrees, or 1.9 degrees above normal. The
highest temperature recorded during the month was 99 degrees on the
29th and 30th. The lowest temperature was 65 degrees on the 5th.
The temperature reached or exceeded the 90 degree mark 25 times, 6
above normal. No temperature records were tied or broken during the
month.

Rainfall at the Tallahassee Regional Airport for June measured 4.40
inches, or 3.33 inches below normal. The greatest amount in a
24-hour period was 0.76 inches on the 19th. There were 16 days with
measurable rainfall during the month which was 4 above normal.
Despite the drier than normal conditions the past two months,
Tallahassee still had a year-to-date surplus rainfall of 7.10 inches
at the end of June. There were 19 days with thunder at the airport
which was 5 above normal. The peak gust recorded at the airport was
48 mph from the east on the 20th.

The outlook for July from the Climate Prediction Center calls for an
enhanced chance of experiencing above normal temperatures and equal
chances of experiencing above, normal or below normal rainfall. The
average monthly temperature for July is 82.0 degrees with normal
rainfall of 7.17 inches.
