EXTENSIVE LOW CLOUDS AND AREAS OF DRIZZLE AFFECTED THE KANSAS REGION
OVERNIGHT...AS RICH GULF MOISTURE SURGED NORTH ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
PLAINS. PREDAWN TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE EASTERN HALF OF KANSAS WERE
IN THE 50S.

AREAS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS THE
REGION TODAY...AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE APPROACHING FROM THE
SOUTHWEST INTERACTS WITH THE RICH MOISTURE SURGING NORTHWARD. HEAVY
RAINFALL AMOUNTS AND ASSOCIATED AREAS OF FLOODING ARE POSSIBLE.
WHILE WIDESPREAD SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED...SCATTERED STRONG
TO SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER WESTERN KANSAS...EASTERN
COLORADO...WESTERN OKLAHOMA AND THE TEXAS PANHANDLE. REGIONAL HIGH
TEMPERATURES WILL CLIMB INTO THE 60S AND 70S.

AREAS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT...MOST
WIDESPREAD GENERALLY OVER OKLAHOMA AND THE EASTERN HALF OF KANSAS. A
HANDFUL OF STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS ARE POSSIBLE DURING THE EVENING
OVER THE HIGH PLAINS. OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES WILL DROP INTO THE
50S AND 60S.
