WEATHER SUMMARY FOR THE MIDSOUTH

COLD AIR WILL CONTINUE TO FILTER INTO THE MIDSOUTH THROUGHOUT THE
WEEKEND WITH SOME SUB FREEZING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED FOR SOME
LOCATIONS. HIGHS TODAY WILL BE 10 TO 15 DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE
AS A COLD AIR MASS SETTLES OVER THE REGION. THE COLDEST DAY DURING
THE UPCOMING PERIOD WILL BE SATURDAY WHEN SOME LOCATIONS WILL NOT SEE
TEMPERATURES ABOVE 50 DEGREES. AREAS OF THE MIDSOUTH ALONG AND NEAR
THE TENNESSEE RIVER HAVE THE GREATEST CHANCES OF SEEING TEMPERATURES
AT OR BELOW FREEZING SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNING.

WE WILL TRANSITION TO A MORE SPRING-LIKE PATTERN BEGINNING SUNDAY
AND LASTING THROUGH MOST OF NEXT WEEK WITH SEASONAL TEMPERATURES
AND SEVERAL CHANCES OF THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED.
