...SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS FOR THE EASTERN HIGHLANDS ABOVE 6500
FEET FRIDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHT...

Snow will increase through the day across the eastern highlands.
Snow levels will be slow to drop to valley floor locations,
limiting most of the snowfall above 6500 feet. At or above that
elevation, look for 2 to 6 inches. Exceptions will be around
Island Park, Driggs and the Bear River Range. Higher elevations in
spots could see up to 9 inches of snow through tonight. Below 6500
feet, with the exception of around Island Park, will likely see
2 inches or less. Around Island Park, up to 4 inches is still
possible in lower spots. Winds will be gusty through the day at 10
to 20 mph with higher gusts. This will mean pockets of blowing and
drifting for higher passes, like Emigration Summit and Pine Creek
Pass and backcountry roads. Watch out for slick roads and slow
down if you encounter hazardous driving conditions.
