...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast North Carolina, including the
  following county, New Hanover.

* WHEN...Until 430 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 117 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Wilmington, Kings Grant, Windemere, University Of North
    Carolina At Wilmington, Wilmington International Airport,
    Mayfaire, Murrayville, Seagate, Cape Fear Community College
    North Campus, Ogden, Wrightsboro, Masonboro, Bayshore,
    Porters Neck, Silver Lake, Myrtle Grove, Cape Fear Hospital
    and New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
