The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Central Johnston County in central North Carolina...

* Until 845 PM EDT

* At 545 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area. Up to one to one and a half inches of rain has
  already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Smithfield, Micro, Selma, Pine Level, Kenly, Coats Crossroads,
  Flowers and Buckhorn Reservoir.

Up to an additional one to one and a half inches is expected over
the area. This additional rain will cause minor flooding.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
