Rock Springs and Green River-Flaming Gorge-East Sweetwater County-
Including the cities of Rock Springs, Green River, and Wamsutter

A new storm system will bring a variety of weather to Sweetwater
County today. Rain, rain mixed with snow and wet snow showers with
a few isolated afternoon thunderstorms will be possible. Snowfall
accumulation will vary greatly across the county, ranging from a
trace to near 2 inches...with some of the higher terrain seeing
perhaps a 3 inches.

Casper Mountain-

A new storm system will bring a variety of weather to casper
Mountain today. Rain, rain mixed with snow and wet snow showers
with a few isolated afternoon thunderstorms will be possible. The
higher parts of Casper Mountain may mix with snow later this
afternoon and then, as colder air moves in this evening, Casper
Mountain will likely change over to all snow with up to two inches
of snow possible by later this evening.

Upper Green River Basin-
Including the cities of La Barge, Big Piney, and Farson

An area of low pressure centered over Southwest Wyoming will
produce a concentrated area of snowfall over the Upper Green River
Basin for the remainder of this afternoon. Expect snow, moderate
at times, to continue through 6 pm early this evening, especially
across the northern portions of the basin including Big Piney and
Big Sandy. Expect 1 to 4 inches of snowfall with locally higher
amounts from Big Piney to Big sandy along with a possible 1 to 2
inches across portions of the southern portion of the basin
including Farson.

Upper Wind River Basin-
Including the city of Dubois

A new storm system will bring snowfall to the Dubois area through
this evening. Expect 1 to 2 inches of snowfall by this evening
along with locally higher amounts over the higher elevations
surrounding Dubois.

Green Mountains and Rattlesnake Range-
Including the city of Jeffrey City
337 PM MDT Thu Mar 23 2017

Temperatures in the Green Mountains and Rattlesnake range will
remain well above freezing today with highs expected to reach the
low 40s at the lowest elevations and will remain in the 30s across
the higher surrounding mountains. As a result, a mixture of rain
and snow will fall today. Then as cooler air moves into the area
this evening, the precipitation will turn to all snow. Around an
inch or less of snow fell near Sand Draw. Expect snow
accumulations of 1 to 3 inches by later this evening including
Jeffrey City along with a possible 3 to 5 inches across the higher
surrounding mountains.
