...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON AND
NORTHERN DOUGLAS COUNTIES THROUGH 1100 AM CDT...

At 1033 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Williamstown, moving east at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down twigs or small limbs and blow
         around objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects and
         vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lawrence, Perry, McLouth, Lecompton, and Williamstown.

This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 194 and 205.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
