...Remnants of Harvey May Regenerate Later This Week...

This is an important message for the residents of South Texas.
The remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey may restrengthen and could
pose a threat to South Texas later this week. There is a high
chance of tropical cyclone development, but it is still too early
for specific details on the strength and track of this system. As
a result, residents and visitors in South Texas are encouraged to
monitor the latest forecasts concerning Tropical Disturbance
Harvey from the National Hurricane Center and your local forecast
office.

This is a good time for residents to go over their tropical storm
and hurricane plans. Visitors are encouraged to check with hotels
and local officials regarding initial preparedness actions that
may need to be initiated. The following are basic suggested
actions that should be taken at this time:

Double check items in your emergency supply kits. Ensure you have
at least a 7 day supply on non perishable food items...bottled
water...medicines...first aid kits...flashlights and batteries...etc.
Get supplies for your pets as well.

Plan for your family`s safety. Know how to contact family members
should the need arise.

Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio...your local National Weather
Service...or your local media source for latest forecast
information.
