Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Skies were partly to mostly cloudy overnight with showers and
thunderstorms moving across southern and western portions of the
region. Winds were southerly at 10 to 15 mph. At 4 AM MDT (5 AM
CDT) temperatures ranged from 62 degrees in Yuma, Colorado to 68
degrees in Leoti, Kansas.

OUTLOOK... Temperatures climb into the upper 80s to low 90s this
afternoon as cloud cover decreases. Thunderstorm chances return to
the region in the afternoon and last into the evening. There is a
marginal risk for severe thunderstorms along and north of a Wray,
Colorado to Hill City, Kansas line. Large hail and damaging winds
are possible. Patchy fog may develop after midnight. Lows fall
into the 60s as cloud cover increases from the north.

On Sunday, warmer temperatures in the 90s are expected across the
region. Thunderstorms are possible once again in the afternoon
through the overnight hours.
