Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains
National Weather Service Goodland KS
500 AM MST Sat Dec 16 2017 /600 AM CST Sat Dec 16 2017/

Temperatures fell into the middle 20s overnight in Goodland under
clear skies. Winds were west to northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

OUTLOOK... Look for an active pattern to continue across the High
Plains over the next week. A cold front will bring a slight chance
of freezing drizzle or light freezing rain to portions of the
region overnight tonight into early Sunday morning. A few slick
spots on area roadways are possible through mid morning. Look for
highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Temperatures rebound on
Monday with above average temperatures expected Monday through
Wednesday under clear skies. Big changes are on the way beginning
Thursday as a chance of snow marks a transition into a much colder
air mass. Daytime highs on Thursday will struggle to reach the
freezing mark as temperatures fall into the upper 20s to low 30s.
Temperatures continue to plunge on Thursday night as lows fall
into the lower teens.
