Weather Summary for Western and North Central Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
852 PM CST Thu Feb 22 2018 /752 PM MST Thu Feb 22 2018/

Today, snow and sleet showers traversed the area and helped keep
temperatures low. Highs only reached the 20s for all locations as
snow accumulations ranged from 1 to 3 inches across much of the
Eastern Sandhills with localized areas seeing up to 5 inches due
to persistent snow bands remaining over the same locations.

For tonight, quiet weather is expected as clouds will remain
entrenched over the area. This will help keep overnight lows
warmer in the east but values will approach zero in the northwest
where the clouds will be quicker to clear. A brief quiet stretch
of weather is expected for much of the day on Friday before the
next system bring wintry precipitation arrives Friday evening.
