WEATHER SUMMARY FOR MINNESOTA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TWIN CITIES/CHANHASSEN MN
457 AM CST SAT DEC 10 2016

It is the coldest morning of the year so far this winter across the
state as high pressure and patches of clearing have allowed
temperatures to bottom out in spots. This is the first time this
year the Twin Cities has fallen into the single digits, with the
coldest parts of the state this morning with clearings in the west
and north, where a few sites have dipped down to between 10 and 13
degrees below zero.

Snow will be moving across the south, with snow dominating much of
the weekend across the state. when all is said and down, snowfall
amounts of 2 to 4 inches can be expected across the north, with 6 to
8 inches down south. Monday night, an arctic front arrives resulting
in a very cold week next week with highs most days only expected in
the single digits with lows dipping below zero. By the middle of the
week, we will likely see our first minus 20 readings of the season
occur in the state a couple of the mornings.
