This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for the entire area. Dangerous
heat and humidity today will lead to a high risk of heat related
illness if extreme caution is not taken. Heat index values will
top out near 110 degrees nearly all locations, with a few locales
possibly seeing readings as high as 115 degrees.

There is a slight chance of thunderstorms late tonight across
southern Illinois into southwest Indiana.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Excessive Heat Warning continues Sunday.

There is a chance of thunderstorms through the period. Lightning,
locally heavy rain and gusty winds will be the primary hazards.

On Thursday, some areas could see heat index values top out close
to 105 degrees.


Spotter activation is not anticipated.
