At 545 AM MST...National Weather Service Radar indicated numerous
showers with scattered embedded thunderstorms occurring across the
area. Movement of the showers and storms was from the south to the
north at 20 to 30 mph. Showers are producing periods of light to
moderate rainfall. Thunderstorms are capable of producing periods
of heavy rainfall, dime sized hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph. In
the mountains above 7000 feet rain has turned to snow with several
inches of snow accumulation possible over the next few hours.
Showers and scattered to isolated thunderstorms will continue for
the next several hours as a storm system moves through the region.
