OVER MOST OF THE FORECAST AREA EXCEPT FOR EASTERN PORTIONS OF
OTERO AND HUDSPETH COUNTIES AND THESE AREAS MAY SEE SOME ACTIVITY
LATER TONIGHT. WEATHER RADAR SHOWS MOST ACTIVITY IS MOVING MOVING
TO THE NORTH NORTHEAST AROUND 10 TO 15 MPH. THE MOST ACTIVE AREAS
AT THIS TIME ARE IN THE BOOTHEEL...WESTERN SIERRA COUNTY...NORTHER
DONA ANA COUNTY...AND AN AREA IN NORTHERN MEXICO STARTING TO MOVE
INTO EL PASO COUNTY AND SOUTHERN DONA ANA COUNTY. RAINFALL RATES
IN THE ACTIVE AREAS ARE ESTIMATED AT .2 TO .5 INCHES PER HOUR. AS
SUBTROPICAL MOISTURE CONTINUES TO FLOW NORTHWARD FROM
MEXICO...PERIODS OF MODERATE TO BRIEFLY HEAVY RAINFALL WITH LOCAL
LOW AREA FLOODING ARE STILL POSSIBLE INTO THE NIGHT. WIND GUSTS
OF 30 TO 40 MPH AND ISOLATED CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS. DO NOT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER IS
PONDING OR RUNNING ACROSS THE ROAD. FLOODED AREAS ARE MORE
DIFFICULT TO SEE AT NIGHT.
