...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN SACRAMENTO...WEST
CENTRAL EL DORADO...SOUTHWESTERN PLACER...SOUTHERN YUBA AND
SOUTHWESTERN NEVADA COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM PDT...

At 550 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Beale AFB to near Sheridan to near Lincoln
to near Elverta. Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Roseville, Rocklin, Auburn, Grass Valley, El Dorado Hills, Lincoln,
Lake Of The Pines, Loomis, Colfax, Cedar Ridge, Pilot Hill, Cool,
Newcastle, Granite Bay, Applegate, Rough And Ready, North Auburn,
Alta Sierra, Nevada City, and Penn Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
