Rip Current Risk:      Low risk. The risk for rip currents is low,
                       however, life threatening rip currents often
                       occur in the vicinity of the South Padre Island
                       jetties. Remember to swim near a lifeguard.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     Extreme. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and
                       sunglasses, and use sunscreen of SPF 15
                       or higher. Remain in the shade if possible.

Weather:               Mostly Sunny.

Temperatures:          Near 90 degrees.

Wind:                  Southeast 10 to 20 mph. Higher Gusts.

Wave Heights:          2 feet or less.

Surf Temperature:      83 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       86 degrees.

Tides:                 A high at 7 57 am. A low at 2 18 pm.
                       A minor high at 7 59 pm.

Outlook:               A low risk of rip currents will continue for
                       the weekend and into the start of next week.
                       Hot and dry conditions will be expected this
                       weekend before rain and thunderstorm chances
                       return for the workweek.
