FLOOD STATEMENT

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Clear Fork Brazos River Near Fort Griffin affecting Shackelford and
  Throckmorton Counties

The current stage of the Clear Fork of the Brazos near Fort Griffin
is 22.6 feet which is above action stage. The river is forecast to
continue to slowly rise to near 32 feet Tuesday morning, which is in
the major flood category. The river is then forecast to slowly
begin to fall and drop below flood stage Wednesday afternoon.
Additional rainfall through the next few days may result in changes
to the current forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Clear Fork Brazos River Near Fort Griffin.
* until late Wednesday night.
* At  9:15 AM Monday the stage was 21.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
  rise to near 32.2 feet by tomorrow early afternoon.the river will
  fall below flood stage by Wednesday afternoon.
* Impact...At 32.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding will occur. Water
  will overflow the left end of the old Fort Griffin-Throckmorton
  road.
