THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE WESTERN TWO THIRDS OF
UTAH AND SOUTHWEST WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THE MOIST AIRMASS ACROSS SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL UTAH WILL REACH INTO
NORTHERN UTAH LATER TODAY. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
ARE EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL UTAH THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS ARE POSSIBLE AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON.

NORTHERN UTAH WILL SEE ISOLATED SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY
DEVELOPING DURING THE AFTERNOON. THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL
INCREASE IN AREAL COVERAGE DURING THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

MONSOONAL MOISTURE WILL COVER THE ENTIRE OUTLOOK AREA THURSDAY.
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT WILL
LIKELY GENERATE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. FLASH FLOODING COULD
DEVELOP OUT OF THIS HEAVY RAIN...ESPECIALLY IN THE SLOT CANYONS
AND DRY WASHES OF SOUTHERN UTAH...WITH DEBRIS FLOWS POSSIBLE IN
THE OLD BURN SCARS ACROSS THE STATE.

SOMEWHAT DRIER AIR WILL WORK INTO EXTREME WESTERN UTAH FRIDAY.
THIS DRIER AIR WILL BRING A REDUCTION IN SHOWERS AND STORMS ACROSS
THE WEST...WITH SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING
OVER THE REMAINDER OF THE OUTLOOK AREA. THE DRIER AIR WILL SPREAD
ACROSS THE MUCH OF THE OUTLOOK AREA OVER THE WEEKEND. ISOLATED
AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS COULD FORM ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN BOTH
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL SHOW A GENERAL WARMING
TREND DUE TO REDUCED AS CLOUD COVER AND PRECIPITATION THROUGH
MONDAY. RETURNING MOISTURE FROM THE SOUTH COULD BRING SHOWER AND
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY BACK TO SOUTHERN UTAH ON TUESDAY.
