This hazardous weather outlook is for east central...north
central and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and tonight.

South winds will continue to gust over 45 MPH at times through the
remainder of the afternoon hours. A wind advisory will continue
through 6 pm today for all of northeast Kansas.

These strong south winds will also create conditions for very
high fire danger for the entire area. Outdoor burning should be

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Freezing rain is in the forecast for Monday night and Tuesday.
Icing could range from a minor glaze across portions of east
central Kansas to a few tenths of an inch across northeast Kansas
by Tuesday afternoon. Any ice accumulations could make for
treacherous travel conditions.


Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
