...Moderate flood crest expected on Mississippi River next week...
...Extensive overland flooding expected this weekend in Northeast
Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel, and Mississippi Delta this
weekend...

Midwest rain of 10 to 12 inches the next 7 to 16 days will cause
minor to moderate flooding on the Mississippi River the week of
May 7. Higher flood stages may be reached. Many roads, houses, and
fields from Tiptonville to Helena will flood.

Flooding rains are expected in much of the Midsouth starting
Friday and continuing intermittently through the weekend.
Northeast Arkansas, East-Central Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel,
West Tennessee, and the Mississippi Delta could have extensive
overland flooding. Crop damage in delta fields could be
widespread.

You are encouraged to keep posted on expected rain and consequent
flooding this weekend and next week.
