The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastern Shelby County in northeastern Missouri...

* Until 845 AM CDT Tuesday.

* At 1247 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain
  have fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Shelbina, Shelbyville, Emden, Hunnewell and Bethel.

Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1-2 inches are possible in the
warned area.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
