The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Guilford County in central North Carolina...

* Until 300 AM EDT

* At 1256 AM EDT, flash flooding persisted in the Greensboro area,
  particularly along North Buffalo creek, which was near crest at
  Church Street and Westover Terrace. Up to three inches of rain
  have fallen, and while heavier rain has tapered off, any
  additional rain will prolong the flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Greensboro, High Point, McLeansville, Summerfield, Gibsonville,
  Stokesdale, Pleasant Garden, Jamestown, Lake Guilford Mackintosh
  Marina and Forest Oaks.


Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.Turn around, don`t drown when encountering
flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
