...The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a flood
warning for the following rivers in Southwest Lower Michigan...

  Looking Glass River Near Eagle affecting Clinton County

.Runoff from rainfall last night and today will run off the frozen
ground and into the river tonight, causing river levels to quickly
rise. The following forecast is based on observed and forecast 48
hour precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock
you off your feet... and a depth of 2 feet will float your car.
Never try to walk... swim... or drive through such swift water.  If
you come upon flood waters... stop... turn around and go another way.

This warning will be in effect until the river falls below its flood
stage.

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  the Looking Glass River Near Eagle.
* from this evening to late Tuesday night.
* At 11:30 AM Monday the stage was 4.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
  rise to near 8.3 feet by late tonight. The river will
  fall below flood stage by late Tuesday night.
* Impact, at 8.0 feet...Expect minor flooding of homes in Dewitt and
  along the Looking Glass River between Dewitt and Eagle. River
  levels flood warming hut, playground, pavilion, and ball field in
  Looking Glass Valley Park in Wacousta.
* Flood history, this crest compares to a previous crest of 8.4 feet
  on Apr 7 2017.
