Regional Weather Summary for Western Kansas
National Weather Service Dodge City KS
852 PM CDT WED SEP 28 2016 /752 PM MDT WED SEP 28 2016/

Another clear day in Southwest Kansas with temperatures ranging
from 76 in Pratt and 89 in Elkhart. Winds were from the northeast
at 5-10 mph thanks to a weak cold front that pushed through this
morning.

Upper level winds have remained persistent all week. Our region
is still under a high pressure ridge that is wedged between a low
pressure system over the Ohio Valley and one over the Baja
Peninsula. The disturbance over the Ohio Valley pushed a weak
cold front through southwest Kansas this morning, which will lower
temperatures tonight and tomorrow.

Tonight, temperatures will drop to the upper to mid-40s
throughout Southwest Kansas, with clear skies. Winds will be from
the Northwest at 5-10 mph. Tomorrow high temperatures will stay
in the upper to mid 70s.
